'Stagshaw' is a delightful little Hawthorn, Leslie saddle tank. Pictured at East Tanfield station while running round its train of 4 wheel coaches, it is the classic UK industrial loco. I last saw it dumped in a siding at Shotton Colliery in 1971, and I never expected to see it again, let alone travel behind it. Yet here it is. The other Shotton engine, 'Horden', is also on site, but unrestored - a reversal of 1971. I've put a 1971 picture of  'Horden' at Shotton on the site as well.
