"Gelert" has arrived back home at the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway following completion of its overhaul. The locomotive should enter traffic in time for the summer season and remainder of the year.

No. 4 "Gelert" was in steam and being tested on the 24th of March at the Statfold Barn Railway following completion of its overhaul and rebuild there. The locomotive will soon be returning home to the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway to enter traffic for the 2018 season.

The former Rustenberg Platinum Mines No. 4 "Gelert" has been moved to the Statfold Barn Railway for its overhaul to be carried out there.
