The ex War Department Bagnall built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75178 has now been withdrawn from service having come to the end of its curent boiler ticket and will now undergo overhaul.

Ex War Department Bagnall built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75178 is visiting the South Devon Railway for their 1940s weekend on the 7th and 8th of July 2018.

Having passed all its test runs successfully newly-restored Bagnall built War Department Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75178 is now fit to enter traffic at the Bodmin & Wenford Railway. No. 75178 will make its debut at the Winter Steam Up event on the 30th of December.

War Department No. 75178 was steamed for the very first time since leaving the National Coal Board in the 1970s over last weekend at the Bodmin and Wenford Railway. Its restoration is now completed and the loco has been painted in WD Green livery and will soon be doing test runs before it enters traffic in the summer.
