This tough looking, powerful 0-4-0 saddle tank loco was built during the Second World War for a Government order and was sent to Shelton Bar steelworks in Stoke on Trent, where it spent its working life.

At Shelton Bar it did heavy work hauling ladles of molten metal around and also worked slag ladles to the tip. As a Stoke based loco for its working life, it is appropriate that it is preserved at Foxfield.
