The former Cottesmore Ironstone Quarry Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2088 "Sir Thomas Royden" has been withdrawn from service having come to the end of her boiler ticket but requires a lot of work needed and may be out of service for some time. A final decision will be made when the locomotive is dismantled and inspected.

Following rebuild it was steaming on Santa Specials at NIRT Northampton Dec 2011 and had a very wonderful photo charter day there 12th Jan 2012. RogerW Director NIRT
