With its overhaul now completed and testing fininshed and now operational, the ex NCB Mountain Ash, Andrew Barclay built 0-6-0ST Works No. 2074 "Llantarnam Abbey", has now left the West Somerset Railway and has relocated back home to the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway at Blaenavon, Monmouthshire in South Wales to enter service there.

The restoration of the ex NCB Mountain Ash, Andrew Barclay built 0-6-0ST Works No. 2074 "Llantarnam Abbey", has now been completed and the locomotive is operational and has steamed for the very first time in prservation after 46 years since it last ran at Mountain Ash in October 1979. "Llantarnam Abbey" will undergo testing and running in trials at the West Somerset Railway before relocating back home to the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway (Blaenavon’s Heritage Railway) at Blaenavon, Monmouthshire in South Wales.

The restoration of the ex NCB Mountain Ash, Andrew Barclay built 0-6-0ST Works No. 2074 "Llantarnam Abbey", has reached a milestone as the boiler was steamed for the very first time in preservation and passed with flying colours, and it will be placed back onto the frames very soon for final work to complete the restoration.

The ex N.C.B. Andrew Barclay built 0-6-0ST Works No. 2074 "Llantarnam Abbey" is being moved to the West Somerset Railway for her restoration to continue at their workshops at Williton.
