The ex British Sugar Corporation Peckett built 0-6-0ST Works No. 2000, has now left the Helston Railway and has relocated to Locomotive Maintenance Services at Loughborough in Leicestershire. The locomotive will not be returning to the Helston Railway as its loan to them has now finnished and the loco will remain at Loughborough for some work to be carried out before going on hire to another preserved railway.

The ex British Sugar Corporation Peckett built 0-6-0ST Works No. 2000 will be going on loan to the Helston Railway at Prospidnick in Cornwall at the start of their operational season soon.

The newly overhauled former British Sugar Corporation Peckett built 0-6-0ST No. 2000 has gone on hire to Beamish North of England Open Air Museum for an extended stay for use at their Rowley Station and running line till the arrival of Duke of Sutherland Highland Railway 0-4-4T "Dunrobin" in 2019.

The former British Sugar Corporation Peckett built 0-6-0ST No. 2000 is currently in the last stages of a overhaul just being completed at Locomotive Maintenance Services at Loughborough in Leicestershire. Which has seen some boiler work carried out there. No. 2000 will be going out on hire to other preserved railways for the summer and will return back to Barrow Hill Roundhouse in October.

2009 is the 50th Anniversaryof the Chasewater Railway and Peckett 2000 is taking part in the Gala on June 20th & 21st.

Peckett 0-6-0ST No.2000 was completed in December 1942. She worked for most of her life for the British Sugar Corporation at Ipswich, Suffolk, England. From 1977 to 1984 she was preserved on the Nene Valley Railway, then she moved to Barrow Hill Roundhouse. For the Summer 2007 season she has been working trains on the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway.
