The ex Staveley Ironworks Avonside build 0-6-0ST Works No. 1919 "Cranford", is visiting the Avon Valley Railway, to help celebrate their 50th Anniversary from the 4th to 7th of April 2024. It is planned for "Cranford" to operate forming a train of a MK1 coach and a brake van - recreating some of the first trains from Bitton station in preservation 50 years ago during the 50th Anniversary Weekend Celebrations.

Following its repairs and taking part in the Vintage Trains event at the Midland Railway - Butterley, the ex Staveley Ironworks Avonside build 0-6-0ST Works No. 1919 "Cranford" will be visiting the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway for the summer season from May, where it will take part in their Coal Train Weekend on the 28th & 29th May 2023, and will work trains during the summer till September 2023, where then the locomotive will take part in their Annual Steam Gala then.

The ex Staveley Ironworks Avonside build 0-6-0ST Works No. 1919 "Cranford" has been moved to the Midland Railway - Butterley for repairs to be carried out and the railway hopes to organise some running dates with the locomotive once the repairs have been completed.

The former Staveley Ironworks Avonside build 0-6-0ST Works No. 1919 "Cranford" will be going on loan to the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust at Midsomer Norton in Somerset for the 2023 season there.
