This little loco was built by Beyer Peacock as an 0-4-2CT - a crane tank loco for use as the works pilot. At some time it was shortened and the crane removed to produce an attractive little 0-4-0ST. Who can say what magnificent locos this little fellow has shunted around the works in its time? Look closely at the smokebox and you'll see that characteristic backward slope to the front of it that is seen on so many Beyer Peacock locos of the period.
