The current location of former Mountain Ash Colliery Avonside built 0-6-0ST "Sir John" is the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway in Monmouthshire. Where the loco is currently in storage there awaiting overhaul.

Sir John moved to the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway on Thursday 9th April. The loco will undergo a full survey with a view to restore to passenger carrying condition. Parts are now being sought to help put it back into traffic.
