Leeds Forge ran two of these little saddle tank locos at its Leeds works, and they kept them in immaculate condition. Of the two, this one was considered to be the better, which is why it has survived to be displayed in the Middleton Railway's museum.

Henry de Lacy was a nobleman, Lord of the Manor of Pontefract. He was born in 1070 gave land to Fountains Abbey to build a daughter abbey. This was finally established at Kirkstall, in Leeds.
