This replica was built in 1985 as part of the celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the Great Western Railway. Despite the impressive appearance, the works are more prosaic, the loco being built using the cylinders and boiler of Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn works No 7135 of 1944. This was an Austerity 0-6-0ST which worked latterly at Bickershaw Colliery. It does run, but the boiler is out of ticket at the moment.
