The former NCB Acton Hall Colliery, Hunslet built 0-6-0ST Works No. 1440 "Airedale No. 3", has been in storage for a number of years in the carriage shed at Embsay Station but it is being brought out for pubic display for the first time in a number of years during the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway’s Hunslet Gala from the 27th to 29th of June 2025.

restoration to start when beatrice is finished hopefully this year will require a repair to the rear of the main frames minor boiler work a new cab and bunker and tank repairs

The overhaul of this loco has begun. The loco has never run in preservation, and the overhaul may use parts form a sister loco, 'Coronation', whose frames and cylinder block were scrapped some time ago. The saddle tank is being repaired and a new bunker has been made.
