Built by Baldwin, Originally Seaboard #533 spold to Durham Southern Rwy in NC they never operated it, in 1954 was sold to GM by 1956.according to ICC files.

No, it is a Baldwin, just like its sisters 203 and 208, in Duluth and Winder, respectively. Andrew Durden SRM

This loco is NOT a Baldwin.

The 209 was recently refurbished by the City of Gainesville...they did a great job, and the 209 finally has a red roof like 203 and 208 do...but the "Gainesville Midland" lettering on the tender isn't period. At least not according to the photos I have...

Correction to the ownership.

Durham and Southern RR was in N.C. rather than S.C.
