Per the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette dated 8/2/07, locomotive was donated to Dallas County by the property's current owner on condition that the county move the locomotive to its new location. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ran a photograph of the moves moving the locomotive on the front page of the Arkansas section. In the picture the locomotive has a uniform rusty color, but you cannot tell how damages or how deep the rust goes.

This locomotive needs a new boiler.  It looks like someone let water freeze inside.  The crown sheet is warped and wavey.  I was told this locomotive was once in a roundhouse fire.  IMO, it would take a few hunded thousand dollards for this locomotive to run again... a new boiler being the most expensive piece of the puzzle.

The locomation was purchased by Jim Gilham of Conway and relocated to his tie slavage and resale operation south of Little Rock in the late 80's. Several locals worked on the locomotive at that time in hopes of restoration. Gilham lost ownership to the locomotive in divorce and the new owners of the property have no interest in it. Reader Railroad particpants have expressed an interest, but the status of that story is unknown. Last known was that the locomotive needed attention.
