An interesting self propelled steam crane. With a lift of 20 tons it had 3 sets of dual pistons, allowing it to travel, hoist & slew(turn) simultaneously. A skilled operator could manage loads very quickly. Later models only had one set of pistons. Travel, hoist & slew were engaged by clutches from one drive shaft. This crane was made at Marshall Fleming & Jack, Dellburn works in Motherwell for the Lanarkshire Steel Company to operate at their Motherwell steelworks. Now displayed at the entrance to Summerlee Heritage Park. Without its boiler.
