The ex Shelton Iron & Steel Co. Dubs & Co. built 0-4-0CT Works No. 4101 known as "Dubsey", is currently under overhaul at the Foxfield Railway, which work is progressing well as the boiler is in really good condition and brand new dumb buffers have been fitted and the crane jib and chains are being inspected.

The former Shelton Iron & Steel Co. Dubs & Co. built 0-4-0CT Works No. 4101 known as "Dubsey" has been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul. Although it never hauled any passenger trains at the Foxfield Railway it was very popular at Gala weekends there and its hoped that work on its overhaul will start soon.

A typical works crane tank loco, which spent its entire working life at Shelton Bar steel works at Stoke on Trent. There would be plenty of work for this loco in the heavy industrial environment with a maximum lift of 6 tons.

The big dumb buffers would help prevent buffer locking on the sharp curves typical of industrial railway systems. Its name is more a nickname by which it was known at the steelworks, derived from its Glasgow makers name.
