Originally delivered to the Heersfeldbahn Depot 1, Berlin as HF 998 and was one of a dizen or more Brigade loks sold to Sena Sugar Estates in Mozambique around 1924, woring at their Marromeu mill as No. 3. In 1974, after the outbreak of civil war, the industrial railway and locomotives were shut down. In 1998 an English enthusiast bought the decommissioned brigade locomotives and had them shipped to England. After arriving in Warwickshire, most locomotives were resold to private individuals or clubs. Henschel 14928 has passed through various private collections in recent years: 2003 - Cattle Country (Berkeley), 2004 - Oakhanger (Hampshire), 2006 - Gnosall (Staffordshire) and 2007 - Malton (Yorks). The locomotive has been part of the Statfold Barn Railway collection since March 6th, 2009, and the refurbishment to make it operational is to begin soon. The Statfold Barn Railway is a notable private railway, consisting mainly of 600 and 750mm gauge vehicles. A few years ago, several steam locomotives were bought from the Indonesian sugar cane railways and transferred to England, most of them from German production (Orenstein&Koppel, Krauss and Jung). In addition, the remnants of the English locomotive factory Hunslet were bought up, from which newly manufactured steam locomotives based on historical models are now being offered again.
