After long man hours regauging R766 from the 5ft 3inch broad gauge to the 4ft 8 1/2 in standard gauge and other work the locomotive is now ready to start testing on the standard gauge mainlines of New South Wales and Victoria. But before that can happen the loco needs to be fitted with a ICE Radio unit for it to run on the mainlines out in that part of the world. So the Hunter Valley Railway Trust has started appeal to raise the funds needed to buy and fit a ICE Radio unit to R766. If funds are raised the loco could be running this year?
