His was actually built to a gauge of 600mm and first delivered to the Hanseatic Iron Works, Hamburg in 02/1949.later believed to be fitted with boiler No. 28473/1948. It later rossed the Pond to the USA where it remains.

Gauge is 610mm.

They tried to make it look american by putting a tender at the back and a stupid cowcatcher at the front. that failed

I've seen photos of the engine and it has a tender behind it. Should it be a 0-4-0T+T or a 0-4-0?
