JS Class 2-8-2 JS 8208, which was built at Datong in 1987 had worked on China Rail round Shenyang until 1988, it then moved to work on the Bautou Line, it finnished its working days with China Rail at Tonghua in May 2000. JS 8208 today is preserved and is located on display the Da’an Locomotive Expo Park at Da’an Bei in Jilin, Northeast China.
