never mind. It was coal. I thought this locomotive was oil fired at one time

fuel was oil when it ran in the 1980s

As has been stated, she and combine #20 received a nice cosmetic restoration 10+ years ago and was mounted on a pedestal next to a casino. The even more historically significant coal car that previously was displayed with them is now in a local park (it is the only survivor out of more than 1400 platform cars on the C&S and predecessors). #71 was part of the last order for new power on what became the C&Sng...subsequent power was second hand or leased.

ran for a few seasons sometime in the 70's or 80's for a tourist operation in central city on bondo bailing-wire and hope was taken out of sevice when money ran out and the groves the rear set of drivers were making in the firebox got "pretty deep" a clasic pice of colorado southern "rolling deathtrap" inginuity

The location is in the center of the small town on top of the highest hill. There is a road up to it and it is visable from allmost anywhere in town.
