Mike Taylor, writing in the bulletin of the Friends of the National Railway Museum, Bulawayo reports that after arriving in New Zealand in January 2008, the loco went into storage. Mike spent some time in New Zealand examining the loco and starting an extensive overhaul which will also involve modifications to fit the New Zealand loading gauge, as the loco as built is too high and too wide as well as conversion to oil firing and air brakes.

Purchased from ZNR by Unicem Zimbabwe, their No.2.

Purchased by Ian Welch, moved to Bulawayo Railway Museum and dismantled for shipping to New Zealand. Arrived Napier 2007, stored at Plimmerton Depot awaiting future restoration. At Wellington Depot.
