Further perusal shows this on a Hanomag list as 5600/1909 that became KED Elberfeld Division No. 4903 then, in 1925 DRG No. 55 1893. It joined the BDZ in 1945 as No. 27.08, whether or not it is the same locomotive it was here in 1995 though some locomotives have been more recently moved from its location at the National Transport Museum, rather than depot in Ruse. It may previously have born the number 710 ?

The construction number is officially recorded as 5900 (rather than 5899) of 1911 but as at least one other organisation also quotes the latter, it may be that the locomotive carries an incorrect plate, that previously belonged to BDZ No. 27.07.
