X10a no.46 is actually undergoing restoration works.A first hydrostatic test was passed in Aug.2005 and the boiler inspection revealed the only problem is a couple superheater units were damaged due to freezing in her display age in the park.Restoration process actually around 40% done.

The "Alco-Montreal Construction Number List" indicates that Construction Numbers 54894 through 54899, Road Numbers 1540 through 1545, were shipped to the "Grand Trunk Railway System" during September of 1914. All of the units were 4-6-4T's and had a "Specified" total weight of 262,000 pounds. (This is not necessarily the "Actual" total weight)

As of November 2004, our ex-CNR 46 recieved much attention. Several parts were restored or replaced, some missing parts were fabricated, like the firedoors control pedal. The boiler was found to be in good condition.

Our crew comprizes 14 dedicated guys under supervision. A 90-hour instruction session is currently attended by the new members for the winter time. More to come.
