On August 20th #1531 was moved to the Simcoe County Museum in Midhurst, Ontario. Over the next two years the museum will be restoring the locomotive (which was in very poor condition in the park) as a static display.

The "Alco-Montreal Construction Number List" indicates that Construction Numbers 48309 through 48318, Road Numbers 252 through 261, were shipped to "Canadian Noerthern" during July and August of 1910.

This loco was actually renumbered to 1531 from 1322 in March 1958 not in 1956. Thats what the book "Steam At Allandale" says. Once this is fixed you can delete this note.

I was wrong on my previous post, the roundhouse foundation is not there anymore.

It used to be part of the allandale division in the 1950s. This is the only locomotive left from the allandale division which is actually still in it's home division. All others are in the US. This loco is actually about 500 meters away from the roundhouse it used to be ine 50 years ago. The roundhouse doesn't exist anymore but the foundation is still there.

CNR 1531 was build in 1910 and was numbered 1322 before spring of 1958 were it was renumbered to it's current which is 1531.
