You might as well remove this listing. That locomotive was not at the Steubenville North plant, and the plant itself is now gone.

Upon further examination of the pictures I took of the narrow gage tanker in the gondola at the MR&LE Museum in Bellevue, OH, I do believe it is Baldwin. The tank, smokebox door dogs, steamdome location, and low flange on the stack stub match up almost exactly with the Olomana at Strasburg. I can also see that it is an 0-4-2T in my photos. Could it be an Hawaiian engine? Were any of the Hawaiian engines in California for sale?

Smokebox door definitely does not look Vulcan or Baldwin. Likely Porter, but the Steubenville engine is listed at 65 tons. This little guy would be more in the neighborhood of 20 tons max, probably smaller.

Is there any chance that this locomotive is now at the Mad River and NKP Railroad Museum in Bellevue? I found a little narrow gauge sitting in a flatcar there just a few days ago and can find nothing about it.

I have spent considerable time at the Steubenville North plant over the past couple of months, and this locomotive does not exist anywhere on the property. I wish it did! We are removing a Corliss stationary steam engine from the plant for preservation in Youngstown, OH, but no locomotive.
