Hi, all. Does anyone have any contact details for this Loco owner? I have tried the university, but they say it has nothing to do with them.

Since the last note was posted in 2008, very little has changed for this locomotive. Some trees have grown up around it that were not present in the photos here and it is now hidden, but looking a little worse for wear. Its small size means it would probably be a decent restoration candidate for a small group who might want to take on the challenge. I am honestly not sure if the University of Akron even has it or 1548 on their radar. Aside from the hotel, there is not a lot of activity or commerce in this corner of Akron anymore, despite the downtown beginning to see a revitalization of sorts.

The future of this and Burlington 1548 is unknown, since the University of Akron bought the property.

Hey... doesn't this engine resemble Thomas the Tank Engine? The paint scheme is Thomas-like, and I saw white on the front meaning there could be a face...
