The former South African Railways North British Locomotive Company built Class 25 4-8-4 No. 3451 is located at Reefsteamers depot at Germiston in Gauteng for safe storage and for restoration work for its owners Steamnet 2000.

3451 is the second SAR Class 25 locomotives that escaped conversion to non-condensing that is also under the care of Steamnet 2000. Since 2016 the locomotive has moved to Reefsteamers base at Germiston for safe storage for restoration work.

3451 was first out of the class numbered 3451-3540.
