Thanks for your note, Max. Actually, the vast majority of locos of South African Railways are shown as SAR irrespective of location so, for overall consistency, I have changed all of the UK locos from South African Railways to SAR.

The loco is now displayed in the new Riverside Museum. The restoration is cosmetic, but has preserved the loco as much as possible although new copper pipes have been added to replace missing pipework to and from the injectors and boiler feedwater. There is a good touch screen display about the loco, its use, its fate after withdrawal and detail of the condition and components with a view to originality.

The loco has been repatriated to the UK, and arrived at Immingham on July 30th. It moved to Glasgow in August and was displayed in George Square for three days. It will be displayed in a new museum at Riverside, representing North British's engineering heritage and UK's locomotive exports, which often produced larger and more powerful locos than ran on the home railways.
