The locomotive is now in the collection of The Railroad Museum at Ardenwood as of May 2024 and is currently under evaluation for restoration.

According to the museum website, this engine is operational along with the mattole lumber 0-4-0T.

Henry Sorenson has donated all his railway equipment to the CSRM and what was left at his ranch is on the way to Sacramento

No. 6, Kiso Forest Railway of Japan, 12-ton 0-4-2T, Baldwin, 1929, Cn. 60873.
Purchased by Henry L. Sorensen in 1960, it was shipped from Japan to San Francisco and trucked to McKinleyville. He converted it from 30" to 36" gauge. It operated on his farm until loaned to the California State Railroad Museum in 1999. It is also operational.
