Currently cosmetically restored and on display n.e. side of town. Seems like nothing is continuing with the restoration of the T&BF project. Everything looks like its been static for years.

In 2008, the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento had to vacate the property on which this locomotive was stored. With no other storage area available, the engine had to be given to another non-profit or scrapped. In April 2008, The Goldfield Historical Society moved it to Goldfield, with help from the Central Nevada Historical Society in Tonopah. The intention is to recreate the 1907 Bullfrog Goldfield Yards and return an historic railroad presence to this turn-of-the-19th-century mining boom town, once served by four railroads. Although the 1942 Porter would not have been found in 1907 Goldfield, it is representative of a side-tank Baldwin used by the Goldfield Consolidated Mines Company during those boom times. As such, it is being reassembled, as time and funds permit, for display only.

No..... This engine is used for parts to keep #10 running. They need both steamers incase one breaks down.

The CA State Railroad Museum plans to restore this engine to service.  Also like what Doug Bailey Said that at the present time this engine is being used for parts to keep the Granite Rock #10 operational.  It is a fifty percent chance that this engine might or might not return to service.  I am not sure but this locomotive or the Granite Rock #10 might have been used for parts to keep UP #4466 in operation.

Ed Kelley provided the following information:

This is the parts supplier to keep Granite Rock #10 in operation.  It won't run again, 99 percent sure of that.
