As of 2019, a very nice cosmetic restoration on the engine was completed in tandem with the 75th anniversary of D-Day. It has been renumbered to US Army 2630 and painted in an olivish green to indicate to visitors that it is an Army engine. While the US-based S160s never wore such a color, some exported to Britain did. I am not sure if the locomotive will be restored to operation as some others at the roundhouse have been, but it looks better than it has in decades now to be sure.

This locomotive is still at Cass - although it has been sold. The trainmaster at Cass has required that it be removed before the start of Spring tourist season - 2011. The locomotive is currently for sale by the folks who purchased it from Cass.

This locomotive was originally intended to be restored and put into operation on the Cass Scenic Railroad for its Greenbrier River Excursions to Durbin.  However, because of the flood of November 1985, the river line was heavily damaged and was not rebuilt, forcing the ultimate fate of this locomotive to be very grim.
