Issac, just got word that 3 will recieve only a cosmetic restoration due to the lack of money by the national park service. HOWEVER, there is progress on the 3 truck climax that should be running by 2013 or 2014.

This locomotive was actually purchased in 1964, in part by Dick Simpson, Pete Replinger, Dick Thrash, Tommy Lashem, and the PSRHA.  This led to a long dispute over who actually owned it.  Shortly after the PSRHA was renamed the Northwest Railway Museum in 1997, it sold its interests in this locomotive to let the other owners settle the dispute.  It was stored for a few years in a private lot adjacent to NRM property, and sold to the Cass Scenic in 2002.

The locomotive was shipped to and arrived in Cass (see "Snoqualmie Shay" photos at www.msrlha.org) in April of 2002, and is currently undergoing restoration for future operation on CSRR.
