The former Canadian Pacific Railroad, G5c Class Pacific No. 1238, will be leaving the Praire Dog Central Railway and relocating to its new home at the Waterloo Central Railway at St. Jacobs in the state of Ontario. As the Railway has successfully bought the locomotive for use with them and will undergo restoration to operation as Canada’s second-largest operating steam locomotive.

this locomotive and 1286 were acquired by Waterloo central for a possible potential return to service. Total rebuild is about 175-225,000 dollars. Both are in surprisingly good condition.

I dont know what her status is, but hopefully she will ride the rails again.

In 1980, she was used on a few excursions on the Southern as a stand in for SRR 4501 and C&O 2716(currently at the time being overhauled)
