it is in fact true that #1 has been traded to the oregon coast scenic railroad in exchange for boiler work to the pacific locomotive associations sierra #30.

I have heard that this locomotive has been traded to Scott Wickert in exchange for the restoration to operation on one of their locomotives, however I have no yet confirmed this with either Scott of the PLA.

The #1 is still stored off-site in Fremont and was not included in "The Big Move". It is unable to move on its own wheels and will require a move by truck. Its primary purpose will be as a parts supplier to PLC Heisler #5, when it eventually returns to operation.

This locomotive along with the other 2 with it, are now at Sunol, Ca, on the Niles Canyon railroad.
