The locomotive will roll out of McKees Rocks onto a flatcar but with the boiler separate from the chassis soon, that might likely happen before the year ends.

The last time I passed by the location where the locomotive had been stored in McKees Rocks, PA (May 2023), the tender was gone but the boiler and running gear were still there. The boiler is too large to be moved by truck due to local clearances so there are plans to move it by rail some time in the near future.

The engine is now located in the Age of Steam roundhouse, it was successfully moved earlier this year.

As of this moment, the engine is still sitting in Mckees Rocks. Age Of Steam was in the process of removing it from the location when the Coronavirus hit. The engine is completely dismantled. Boiler, running gear, wheels, and frame are all separated. They were about to go on trucks to go out. They will when we go Green again.

I just heard that this engine has just gone up for sale on Ebay of all places, and that they are thinking of scrapping the engine! I hope that the engine gets a new home, and that it gets out of where it is currently located in good order. By the way, does anyone have $375,000 on them?

What are the current going-ons for this engine? Also, what condition is this engine in? I hope to eventually be able to get up enough money to buy this locomotive some day, and to be able to run it, but that will be a long time away, and I need to know how long you guys have before something happens to that engine.

I jsut visited this locomotive on sat. 4-21-07. I would be interested in contacting the "new" owner. I have steam experiance and was one of the owner/members of Rails Diversified who once owned and restored to operation the Reading 2102. Anyone who could provide a contact name and email, please email me at rmmgto@netscape.net.
