The complete locomotive only ran for DR NOT DB post-war prior to withdrawal in 1988. It was, however first reconstructed at AW Stendal, still coal-fired, leaving here in 1960 as No. 50.3591 (this intermediate identity being missing from the file), but was recalled here in 1966 for conversion to oil-firing, emerging then in its current guise, minus the computer check digit. DB only took over after the locomotive was withdrawn! from service.

The ex LMS Jinty 3F 0-6-0T No. 16440 underwent a successful light engine test run along the full length of the Midland Railway - Butterley for the first time in 15 years. The locomotive will enter service over the Christmas season hauling Santa Specials before going back into the sheds at Butterley for final painting over the winter months and will be launched back into traffic in 2024.

In another milestone in the construction of New-build LNER P2 Class 2-8-2 No. 2007 "Prince of Wales" has seen the Monobloc cylinder, the first monobloc produced since the 1940s, manufactured at Howco in Irvine, Scotland, now fully completed has arrive at Darlington Locomotive Works for fitment to the locomotive. Its the first of three major components due to arrive by the new year.

"WILDE ERIKA" is not the name of the locomotive but the name of the company Kleinbahn Betriebs GmbH in Wörme near Handeloh, out of business since 2002. The locomotives went to the Böhmetal-Kleinbahn in Walsrode.
