This steam railcar is operational. I rode in it on a trip from Bahnpark Brugg to Hendschiken on 7/6/25 (Bahnpark annual open weekend).

The railcar was actually built for the North Eastern Railway (N -O -B) as their No. 1 which, shortly after delivery ceded to the SBB. It was then re-constructed in 1907 with a Vertical Boiler and sold to the Uerikon - Bauma Railway (U - B - R) as their No. 31, being withdrawn finally in 1950.

The railcar is normally based in Brugg, Bahnpark. In February 2016 it had a collision with serious damage. For repairs it has been sent to Landquart, RhB Workshops. Status: repair / restoration
