The owner is Republik Österreich, leased to ÖBB-Holding AG. Initially delivered to the ÖStB (1920 - 1923) as No. 270.025, it retained that identity with the BBÖ (1923 - 1938) before taken into DRB stock as No. 56.3423 (1938 -1945), succeeded by ÖStB (1945 - 1953). Renumbered 156.3423 by ÖBB, for whom it ran (1953 - 1968) it succeeded with this number into preservation.
