Huntsville & Lake of Bays Railway 1888 locomotives #1 and #2 were replaced in 1947 with a pair of newer engines that are still in Huntsville, Ontario. A cottager from Lake of Bays area purchased the retired locomotives in 1947 and took them back to his home in Chicago, but later sold them to Chicago industrialist Harold Warp who was building a museum in his home town.

Research has revealed that this locomotive, despite being numbered "1", is actually H&LOB No. 2

I think the poster of the most recent note is confusing this locomotive with the "other" H&LOB 0-4-0T that is in Canada. This locomotive is most definitely in Minden, Nebraska. I saw it just a few weeks ago!
