she is the oldest surviving hudson

NKP's first class L1 loco. They often considered them very small until the smokelifters were added.

the right side of this loco looks great, but the left looks horrible.

This was the second hudson ever built...she trailed NYC 5200 by about a month. She was built with 73" drivers and later received larger driver tires to be reclassified as 74" drivers...a trait shared with the K class pacifics she supplanted on the mainline.
