Bessemer & Lake Erie Baldwin 2-8-0 No. 154 operated its entire life on the B&LE in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. The engine was NEVER sold to the New York Central (nor was the B&LE). Built in 1909, the locomotive was retired in 1953 and held for a museum. It was finally donated to the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois in January, 1984. In December, 1989, the engine was relocated to the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, in exchange for one of their engines.

It is not operational. It is a well preserved display at the museum. When ever I go back there (I live close by) I'll get a current picture.

Was just at Henry Ford Yesterday. No 154 is now indoors at the museum connected to a snow plow. Would guess it is not operational.
