The ex Sierra Leone Government Railways Hunslet built 2-6-2T No. 85 has been moved to the Display Shed at Raven Square Station on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway where it can be seen on static display for the time being as their sister organisation, the Friends of Sierra Leone National Railway Museum, are currently fundraising to return No. 85 to steam again.

After being assesed in the workshops of the Vale of Rheidol Railway, the ex Sierra Leone Government Railways Hunslet built 2-6-2T No. 85 has returned home to the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway at Llanfair Caereinion, Powys in Mid Wales to await its overhaul to begin.

The ex Sierra Leone Government Railways Hunslet built 2-6-2T No. 85 has been moved to the Vale of Rheidol Railway’s workshops at Aberystwyth in Ceredigion for its overhaul back into steam again.

Former Sierra Leone Government Railways Hunslet built 2-6-2T No. 85 has since returned back home to the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway in Montgomeryshire Wales. No. 85 is currently on display at Llanfair Caerenion station while it awaits its turn for overhaul back in to service.

The former Sierra Leone Government Railways Hunslet built 2-6-2T No. 85 is now back at the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway where its soon to under go a heavy overhaul which will see a new boiler fitted.

Sierra Leone Government Railways No. 85 is on its way home to the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway where it will be on display at there steam gala on the 1st to 3rd September. After that the loco will then under go its overhaul.

The ex Sierra Leone Government Railways Hunslet built No. 14 will be leaving the NRM Locomotion Museum as it is going on tour around the UK. After a Farewell Party at Shildon over the Easter weekend, the locomotive will travel to Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills on 22nd April, then will visit Streetlife in Hull to help celebrate Hull City of Culture 2017. It will then go to London Museum of Water & Steam and Tyseley Locomotive Works before making its way back to Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway for overhaul.
