The BR built LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46521, is now back home at the Great Central Railway at Loughborough in Leicestershire for the final stages of its overhaul.

The BR built LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46521, is now in the last stages of its overhaul and is due to return home to the Great Central Railway very soon as its tender is now safely back at Loughborough.

BR built LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46521 is being relocated to Tyseley Locomotive Works near Birmingham in Worcestshire, for its overhaul, where work on the axle boxes and boiler can be carried out.

Having worked its final trains at the Great Central Railway during the week, BR built LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46521 has now been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul.

BR built LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46521 will visit the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway next year in 2020 from mid June till mid September.

When it was formerly based at the Severn Valley Railway No. 46521 stared in the BBC Comedy series Oh, Doctor Beeching! from 1996 to 1997 where she carried the name "Blossom" for the series and is still sometimes known as "Blossom" still.

Ivatt 2MT No. 46521 is making a second visit to the Swanage Railway to help bolster the loco fleet for the summer season. She last visited from March-April.

No. 46521 is making a surprise visit to the Swanage Railway in Dorset to join their line up for their Spring Steam Up on the 29th to 31st of March 2019. Then the 2MT 2-6-0 will stay at Swanage as extra motive power over Easter.
