The ex GWR Small Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4555 has now relocated to the East Somerset Railway at Cranmore in Somerset for a two year loan to them.

GWR Small Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4555 was steamed and moved under its own power for the first time on the 17th of January 2020 which this marks the end of its overhaul. No. 4555 is all set to visit the South Devon Railway in March after which she will go on two-year loan to the East Somerset Railway at Cranmore. Starting with appearance at their Steam Gala on the 21st and 22nd of March 2020 and will operate along side its Dartmouth Steam Railway stable mate 5205 Class 2-8-0T No. 5239 "Goliath" there.

Now in its final stages of its overhaul GWR Small Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4555 will visit the South Devon Railway for their Spring Steam Gala on the 14th and 15th March 2020. This is a special home coming visit for 4555 as the locomotive was one of the South Devon Railway’s original locomotives from when they first started running preserved steam trains there over 50 years ago.

Once her overhaul is complete, 4555 will visit the South Devon Railway as she is booked for a Timeline Events photo charter on 13th March.

Warrior number #4555 was withdrawn from service at the end of 2007. She currently sits in the shops waiting her restoration to renew her boiler certification.
