The locomotive no longer exists after the remaining parts were scrapped at Tyseley in 2016.

The loco has now been dismantled and the front frame extensions retained for fitting to the new frame plates for the 2-8-0 No 4709 which is to be constructed, once they are produced. As well as the wheels, a number of other parts have been recovered for use on the new build project.

The boiler has moved to Crewe for eventual use on the new build 2221 class County tank loco. The remaining parts; frames, cab and side tanks, are now at Tyseley.

Another loco effectively scrapped.

Part of the Barry 10 group of locos bought for a proposal for a Welsh Railway Centre which never got going.

Latest plans are for this one to go to the Great Western Society at Didcot where parts could be used to recreate a class 4700 2-8-0, a lost class of engine. The driving wheels would go into this as they are the right size, but only 6 of them of course. The front end extension frames would also be used for this project.

The boiler would be retained by Vale of Glamorgan Council for use in a recreation of a 2221 class 4-4-2T, another lost class.
