1500 Class 0-6-0PT No. 1501 has been added to the line up of visiting locomotives at the South Devon Railway for their 50th anniversary gala from April 6th to 14th 2019. Which this will be 1501s first visit to the South Devon.

1501 is started its venturings again away from the Severn Valley Railway as its first visit of the year is the Mid Hants Railway for there Pre Spring Steam Gala on the 9th - 11th February 2018.

Before heading to the Moors Line 1501 will also be attending the Old Oak Common Depot open day in West London on the 2nd of September as well.

1501 is also visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for there Autumn Steam Gala along with fellow Severn Valley base GWR Pannier Tank 7714.

This unique survivor of the small class of outside cylindered (and outside valve gear) pannier tank locos has been on display at the Severn Valley Railway's 'Engine House' museum. It is going to be restored to running order so will move to Bridgnorth for overhaul.
