The ex Holborough Cement Co. Aveling Porter built 2-2-0GWT Railway Traction Engine No. 9449 "The Blue Circle" is relocating to the Nene Valley Railway as she is going on long term loan to them. The locomotive will make its debut at the Nene Valley during their Steam Rally on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of June 2019.

Aveling Porter built 2-2-0GWT Railway Traction Engine No. 9449 "The Blue Circle" will be visiting the Long Shop Museum at Leiston in Suffolk to be the first locomotive to operate on the reopen restored section of the Leiston Works Railway there and marking 160 years of railways at Leiston on the 1sth and 2nd of June 2019.

The former Holborough Cement Co. Aveling Porter built 2-2-0WT Railway Traction Engine locomotive "The Blue Circle" is to visit Dorset to take part at the 50th Great Dorset Steam Fair at Tarrant Hinton near Blandford Forum from the 23rd to the 27th of August 2018. The Great Dorset Steam Fair is the worlds largest and most famous Traction Engine Rally which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year in 2018. Railway locomotives take part in this every year and this year "The Blue Circle" will be running on a length of track there this year for the first time.

I think that the wheel arrangement could easily be changed to 2-2-0GT, as it is a rail-going traction engine.

Until 2001 this loco was based on the Bluebell Railway. It was sold to its present owners as it was to small for any work on the Bluebell.
