The ex Kilmersdon Colliery Peckett built R3 Class 0-4-0ST Works No. 1788 "Kilmersdon" is now back in steam and operational again following completion of its overhaul and has been turned out in the livery of the famous Thomas The Tank Engine character Percy the Small Engine. The locomotive will make its debut back in traffic at the Mid Hants Railway during their Day out with Thomas event from the 6th to 14th of August 2022.

The overhaul on ex Kilmersdon Colliery Peckett built R3 Class 0-4-0ST Works No. 1788 "Kilmersdon" is progressing well at the Mid Hants Railway’s workshops at Ropley. Its expected the locomotive will be back in steam in time for the summer season and will be turned out as the famous Thomas The Tank Engine character Percy the Small Engine for Days out with Thomas events.

The ex Kilmersdon Colliery Peckett built 0-4-0ST Works No. 1788 "Kilmersdon" has arrived at the Mid-Hants Railway at Alresford in Hampshire where it is now located along with other rolling stock of the Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust that have relocated there.

After being on loan to the Helston Railway in Cornwall for 2 years since 2018. Ex Kilmersdon Colliery Peckett built 0-4-0ST "Kilmersdon" has been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul and has returned home to the Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust’s base at Washford on the West Somerset Railway where the overhaul will take place at.

Former Kilmersdon Colliery Peckett built 0-4-0ST "Kilmersdon" is going on loan to the Helston Railway in Cornwall for the 2018 season. The locomotive will be staying there till early 2019.

If you enlarge the photo you can see the name is actually Kilmersdon and not "Mike Palmer". Has it been renamed?
